Today I had a chance to make the speedo bracket. Made from 10mm thick aluminium.
Construction was not all that technical, I simply drew the shape that I wanted on to the aluminium, then found random items of the correct shape and using double sided tape, stuck them to the aluminium as a guide for the router.
The shape is the right size for a danmoto classic speedo, which I am still to order.
Ok, I have fitted the bracket, it still needs more polishing, but it's acceptable for now.
Made with a $4 scrap of aluminum and a $5 router bit, and about 3 hours of labour.
Now to order the speedo.
